Angie DiSalvo

Outreach and Science Supervisor, Portland Parks & Recreation Urban Forestry

Angie DiSalvo is the Outreach and Science Supervisor with Portland Parks & Recreation Urban Forestry, where she manages citizen science, policy, and education programs. Her work focuses on improving tree canopy where Portlanders need it most: right outside their front doors. Some of her recent projects include street and park tree inventory, planting strategy, heritage trees, and permit compliance.

Prior to Portland Parks, Angie worked as the program manager for the World Forest Institute where she advised international researchers and guided them to inspect innovative forestry projects throughout the Pacific Northwest. Angie holds a M.S. in Forestry and a M.Ed. in Counseling from Northern Arizona University, and a B.S. in Environmental Science from Wright State University.  Angie was a speaker at the 2017 Hagenstein Lectures.
