Dr. Thomas RaShad Easley
Assistant Dean of Community and Inclusion, School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, Yale University
Dr. Thomas RaShad Easley is the Assistant Dean of Community and Inclusion at Yale University’s School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. He earned his B.S. in Forest Science from Alabama A&M University and M.S in Forest Genetics from Iowa State University. His doctorate is in Adult Education from NC State University.
At Yale, Thomas assists with enhancing diversity, promoting access for all people, and developing scholarly and relevant programming around workplace equity. He served as the Director of the Community for Diversity in the College of Natural Resources at NC State and he taught courses, advised students, consulted with faculty and staff on programming. He lectures widely, leads community workshops and teaches a course on Diversity and Environmental Justice. Thomas is also an Eagle Scout, pastor, and artist. In the music world he is known by RaShad and delivers a message of hope, love, and the joy of helping others.
